The following is carried out during fire alarm maintenance
- Four visits per year
- Entries into the Log Book are checked
- Standby batteries and connections are checked
- 25% of devices are tested on each visit
- Sounders, inputs, outputs and signal to alarm receiving centre (ARC) are tested
- Visual inspection is carried out on the premises for any structural changes
- Siting of all devices are inspected in accordance with the standards
- Training on the system will be provided to the responsible person
- Device checklist updated and issued to customer
- Log book and certificate are signed and updated
